THE LANCELOT EDITORIAL POLICY
The Lancelot is Waterford High School’s student-run newspaper produced for the Waterford High School community.

Its purpose is to engage, inform, and provide an open forum while reaching for the highest levels of journalistic integrity.  The Lancelot will not publish unprotected speech, such as libel, obscenity, or words that would bring a material disruption to the school process.  The Lancelot will not engage in copyright violations or unwarranted invasion of privacy.  Views expressed in editorials are the views of the editors, and are not necessarily those of the faculty or administration.

Letters to the editor should be submitted to adviser Kim Thibeau, or to a Lancelot staff member.  Anonymous letters will not be printed and we reserve the right to edit all letters for mechanics, length, style, clarity, and appropriateness.

Advertisement contracts and rates will be sent out on request.  The Lancelot staff reserves the right to refuse any advertising, solicited or unsolicited.  We regret any errors in our publication and appreciate your bringing them to our attention.

All content decisions are made by The Lancelot student staff.  Ms. Thibeau supports and instructs The Lancelot staff.

In the event of a disagreement between editors of The Lancelot, advisers, and/or the school principal, a lawyer from Student Press Law Center may be contacted.
