Neverending Snow Days

First thing in the morning, the anticipated call from the Superintendent saying that all Waterford Schools are closed for the day makes everyone cheer, turn off their alarm clocks, and go back to bed. This is the feeling that students in Waterford have experienced multiple times this school year. At first it was a dream come true to have school cancelled so frequently to allow extra time for last minute homework, but now the novelty of it is starting to wear off.

Senior Cassie Sargent said, “At first all these snow days were great, but now I’m hoping that there won’t be any more so we don’t have to go to school all the way into July.”

Junior Audie Walters agreed, “I really don’t want any more snow days this year. The earlier we get out of school the better.”

After the numerous unexpected snow days that popped up within the last two months school won’t be ending until at least June 18th. This may not be the final set date either as the forecast warns of even more snow on the way.

Hopefully the snow will come to an end so the school year will be able to as well.
