DIY: Easiest Fall/Halloween Crafts

Halloween is Monday, which means the season of spooks, goofs, and gaffs is here. The one true way to embrace this chilly time of year is through DIY decorations! Here are two easy DIY projects: pumpkin banner and ghost banner

Here are the steps for each project in the pictures below

  1. Pumpkin banner materials; You will need construction paper, scissors, glue stick, yarn, three hole puncher, markers.
  2. Ghost banner materials; You will need white construction paper, scissors, glue stick, yarn, three hole puncher, markers.

Pumpkin banner steps

  1. Print a picture of a medium sized pumpkin outline.
  2. Cut out the pumpkin outline
  3. Use the stencil to cut out a pumpkin shape
  4. Glue the stencil to the construction paper
  5. Cut out more pumpkins (I cut out four)
  6. Get a string of yarn (no specific length)
  7. Once you have your pumpkins done, draw spooky faces on them
  8. After you draw on them, punch a hole through the stem of the pumpkin
  9. Then, pull the yarn through the hole
  10. Do step 8 and 9 until you have your pumpkin banner

Ghost banner materials; You will need white construction paper, scissors, glue stick, yarn, three hole puncher, markers.

  1. Print out any ghost outline
  2. Cut out the ghost stencils
  3. Glue the stencils to a white sheet of construction paper
  4. Once the ghosts are glued, use them as a stencil to cut out the rest of your ghosts
  5. Once your ghosts are all cut out, get out a maker and draw spooky faces on them
  6. Once spooky faces are drawn, punch a hole in the head of the ghost
  7. Repeat step 6 until all the ghosts have holes in them
  8. String the yarn through the hole in the ghost
  9. Do step 8 until you have your ghost banner
