Grown is a well-written novel by New York Times bestselling author Tiffany D. Jackson. Jackson portrays a 17-year-old girl, Enchanted Jones, from New York with a passion for singing who falls into the arms of a legendary R&B artist, Korey Fields, who promised her an easy ticket to stardom. She slowly but surely realizes he has a dark, toxic, controlling side of him, that she cannot so easily escape. But when Enchanted wakes up with a deadly hangover and a dead Korey Fields, she faces the backlash of murder accusations. Who killed Korey Fields?

If you are into scandals, especially the R-Kelly case, you would find yourself enjoying this book. Grown is a quick-read that will hook by the first chapter. Jackson portrays the blindness of celebrity pedophiles perfectly and keeps you intrigued. The book includes sensitive language, and content so beware.
