Senior Genaya Loftis and sophomore Shea Spellman each scored one goal as the Lancers defeated Plainfield 2-0 in ECC Medium play. Senior Melina Spanos had two assists and freshman Jordan Kovacs recorded five saves and the shutout. The Lancers raise their record to 9-1-1, including a perfect 7-0 in divisional play.
The Lancers run their divisional winning streak to eight games as they down Montville 5-2. Senior Melina Spanos scored twice, and sophomore Shea Spellman, junior Lexi Lewis, and sophomore Claire Hurley each added a goal. The team can win the division crown with a win over Stonington. The team is now 10-1-1.
