On May 16 the girls’ tennis team earned the Eastern Connecticut Conference Medium Division championship title against Stonington, after a tie with the final score 4-3.

Senior Tarlynn TonePahhote said, “It was really cool to see everyone’s reaction to the match when we broke the tie.”

The team made history by beating Stonington, who had a 65-match winning streak.

Senior Kaylee Thurlow said, “ It felt really good to win. We’ve been working hard all season and it has really paid off.”

There are a few more matches in the next few weeks to lead up to the state tournaments where they will play their hardest.
