Kate Porter
Kate Porter is a sophomore and a Journalism I student. She enjoys being a part of the school newspaper, yearbook, and basketball team. She loves to write in school and out, and was even a finalist in the Eugene O’Neill Playwrights Festival. Outside of school, she loves to listen to music and hang out with friends, and plays several instruments, such as guitar, bass, ukulele, banjo, and clarinet. Kate also enjoyed volunteering at the QUEST program over the summer. She is excited for the new year with new opportunities and new people. She hopes that she can improve on writing non-fiction pieces creatively and become more confident when writing new stories and interviews.
