Orange You Glad For Spring Fashion?

Spring cleaning is not only time to dust away those winter cobwebs, but is also time to clean out that dusty old closet full of last season’s wardrobe. Milan Fashion Week introduced various new styles that will change the spring wardrobe.

Orange takes the spot as this season’s dominant color. Shades such as mango, persimmon, and ripe pumpkin have hit the runways, and are soon to hit local display windows. Orange is making a vibrant statement and is bringing color to the overly predictable neutral spring palette.

Before storing away those winter military jacket, consider a second look. The major style this spring is predicted to be “futuristic militaristic”. This means lots of whites and lots of constructed pieces. Wide straps were a critic favorite on the Milan runway in fall.

For men this spring, it is a blast from the past. Influences spur from previous generations, as the reappearance of business suits, looser pants, and fedoras flood the men’s department. Movies such as Inception and The Adjustment Bureau can be hinting as the main influence for menswear.

The Adjsutment Bureau is one recent films that brings 1960's cool back to men's fashion.

Accessories are making a large statement and turning toward a naturalistic look. Weaving textures are going to be a massive hit in accessory lines. This includes weaving patterns on shoes, bracelets, headbands, and clutches. Naturalistic themes, such as butterflies, picnic patterns, and flowers, are also appearing in the latest lines.
