Football: The season “is going great” says senior Ivar Wirta, “I’m really proud of our performance; we showed a lot of determination in the Stonington game.” Senior Y-Kim Sheppard has a total of five touchdowns on the year, “I’ve eclipsed my half way mark of last season and there’s still room for improvement, and I feel that we’ll have a lot of success, if we keep doing what we’re doing we should be able to end the season 9-1.”

Field Hockey: The field hockey team shocked everyone with an undefeated record at the start of the season. We have a strong team this year, and we have a lot of upper classmen so we are meshing our skills together.” said senior Sam Autencio.

Volleyball: With a 4-4 record the season “so far is not too bad.” said Coach Eudy. “Good group of girls this year that work hard and I’m enjoying it just as much as they are. It’s fun to see them grow and improve. Hopefully by the end the younger girls would have learned something from our seniors.”

Boys Soccer: With so many injuries during the season the soccer season has been tough starting off with a 2-4 record. Even with the injuries Zach Tyropolis said, “it’s been a good season considering we’ve gotten a new coach whose taught us new plays and new formations.” Zach is one of the injured players and has been eager to get back on the field.

Girls Soccer: “We are doing really good this year and we all get a long great so we work well together on the field.” Said senior Casey Chabot, “We are undefeated, with a 6-0 record” The Lancers go into next game hoping to keep the streak alive.

Boys Cross Country: The Cross Country team has proven themselves from last year’s setback.  “Our record last season was horrible, 1-15, and this year we’re doing a lot better, plus everyone is really close.”

Girls Cross Country: This season is off to a good start says senior Kalie Meders, “Team looks great this year. We have some really great runner. We’ve also fought through several downpours in to practice. I think the team will continue to really pull together and have a great season.”

Girls Swimming:  With the construction on the field house, “It’s very hard this year, with the traveling, you have to be committed.” said sophomore Emily Pepin. Amy Karlberg is “excited for next year to have our own pool.”
