Spring Sports Preview
Captains: Max Petrini & Matthew Shampine
Shampine says, “Playing music in the locker room before games and getting excited to play is definitely one of the most exciting parts of game day.”
Captain: Lucas Vincenti
Vincenti says, “We’re hoping to improve on consistency—the sky’s the limit with this team. We have a very solid top six when healthy. We just need to learn how to consistently play well under pressure.”
Captain: Porter Watson
Watson’s favorite team ritual is “[eating at] pasta dinners before home games. The moms make good mac and cheese.”
Captains: Quinn Brigham, Brianna McNeil, & Victoria Sturm
Senior Katie Jamroga says, “We’ve moved up to ECC Division I since last season, so we’re playing more competitive teams more often, but our team is looking really strong and ready to get after it.”
Captains: Charlotte Jessuck, Paige Jessuck, & Brielle Kenney
Jessuck’s favorite team tradition is “always [doing] a puzzle that Mr. Walker makes. It shows how everyone is an important part of [the] team.”
Captains: Matthew Allen, Gabe Lombardi, Titus Olsen, & Ian Rush
Olsen is “looking forward to improving [the team’s] record.”
Captains: Camryn Dickenson, Avery Maiese, Elizabeth Price, & Amelia Stoddard
Maiese is “looking forward to invitational meets. [They are] a great opportunity for people to set personal records and learn racing technique.”
Captains: Andrew Bertrand & Colton Murch
Bertrand says, “Our East Lyme matchups this year will be exhilarating. Last year, we lost to East Lyme 2-5 in our first match but beat them 4-3 in our second.”
Captains: Madi Gamble, Sophia Sit, & Hazel Siu
Siu says, “We have pasta dinners and try to plan an end of year event, like one year when we went to play at grass tennis courts.”
