REVIEW: Nathan Sykes’ “Kiss Me Quick”

Currently on hiatus from British boy band The Wanted, 22-year-old Nathan Sykes is flourishing in his solo career.

Last summer, Sykes released his debut single “Kiss Me Quick”. Sticking to the pop genre, he has made an impact with his first official solo release after featuring on Ariana Grande’s single, “Almost Is Never Enough” in 2013. Signed with Global Entertainment and on a solid start, he is releasing his upcoming debut album within the next year.

“Kiss Me Quick” is a blend of a pop beat with a highlight on his vocal capabilities, an outstanding and catchy start to his solo pathway. The lyrics showcase his well-known and lovable personality, earning its spot as number two on the Billboard Top 100 Dance Club Songs. Having sold over 11 million records worldwide and gathered eight top five UK singles with The Wanted, Nathan Sykes will be hoping to achieve a similar feat in his solo career, which appears to be easily achievable based on this recent release.
