Ms. Johnson

Ms.+Johnson

A new face in the Family and Consumer Sciences Department this year is Lindsay Johnson. Ms. Johnson previously worked at Daniel Hand High School in Madison for ten years before moving to Waterford High School. At Daniel Hand Ms. Johnson taught culinary arts, child development, fashion, and interior design. Ms. Johnson is not new to the area, as she grew up in Noank and attended Fitch High School, where she heard good things about the Waterford School system. After meeting Mrs. Montanaro at a conference a few years prior, she jumped on the opportunity to teach with her at WHS.

Ms. Johnson is most excited about meeting all of her new students and fellow faculty here. She believes that students’ biggest challenge this year will be staying focused in online classes when an abundance of distractions is present. Ms. Johnson is a world traveler and has visited over 21 different countries in her life. Her favorite holiday is Christmas because she typically visits her parents in Florida during Winter break. Finally, Ms. Johnson wants all of her students to know that her door is always open and that they are free to pop in to say “Hi!” at any time.
