The 12 Days of Giving

Tara Smith, Editor

A seven year tradition here at WHS heralds the holiday gift giving season with the ‘12 Days of Giving’. Advisories were tasked by the FBLA, Future Business Leaders of America, with bringing in a variety of items that would be beneficial to people during the winter season. All the items that are received are donated to Safe Futures who serve victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and trafficking. From winter coats to mouthwash a lot of necessities were donated this year, even though Mrs. Woznicki reported that there were donations received in comparison to past years. The most donated  items were socks and undergarments, sitting at 100 pairs, followed by 56 toothbrushes and 42 soap products. Other items that were donated consist of bedding, towels, canned goods, deodorant, toothpaste, etc.. Mr. Sylvestri and Mrs. Peluso’s advisories were the top donors. Safe Futures accepts donations all year. Check out their website for more information.
