2026 Girls Tennis Overview

Despite being seeded 20th in the state of Connecticut, our girls tennis team is heading to the finals today. In Tuesday’s recent match against Sacred Heart Academy, Waterford took the Win 4-3. Both number one, Marina Matsas [6-1 and 6-2] and number four, Lila Tinerello, won [6-1 and 6-3]. In doubles, Sydney Casper and Maeve Pelletier won 7-5 and 6-3 and Zaya Haglund and Maya Smith won third doubles 5-7, 6-4, and 6-3.

Winning this match advanced the girls to finals, which will take place at Amity Regional High School against Weston High School June 3.
