Mr Lancers Strut Their Stuff

The rumor recently circulated that the Mr. Lancer contest would end because of a lack of junior and senior participants. Rumor had it that twelve people had left the contest. Unfortunately, this rumor was true.

Senior Nathaniel Ross, a former contestant, was one of the contestants who had to drop the competition. “It was too much to handle,” Ross states. “I’m just really busy and I need some personal time off.”

However, the senior student council, who had fought hard for permission to hold the contest, refused to let this new tradition die. Many of the members of the senior student council, as well as Mr. Lancer contestants themselves, hunted down students. According to council member Kristen Hanner, “the competition is back in motion!”

Senior Seth Hoagland says, “Mrs. Woznicki told me about the lack of guys in Mr. Lancer, so I had no problem joining.”

The competition is comprised of three talent sections: talent, group dancing, and a guy and girl dance. “I’m hoping on my talent to help me win!” Hoagland smiles.

Hoagland one among many tough competitors including juniors Tyler Radics, Matthew Shea, Michael Capozza and seniors Marcus Krodel, Micah Greenleaf, Bishme Sheppard, Robert Vose, Julio Gil-Martinez, John Roberto, Connor Megan and Michael Arteaga.

The Mr. Lancer contest is on Friday February 28, and hopefully, everyone in the school will come and support our gentlemen peers.
