Women History Month Assembly

On March 2, WHS had an assembly for the start of Women’s History Month. The student body was divided into two sections with the freshmen and sophomores in the field house and the juniors and seniors auditorium. Each set of students had a set of speakers who came in and were given time to speak about anything they felt needed to be talked about. Some of the topics discussed were why Women’s History Month is important, some women who inspired the presenters, and how women have risen in male dominated fields. Most of the students listened respectfully but there were some who continuously talked during the presentation. After the speakers were finished, there was time for students to ask questions and share their own stories of women who they look up to.
