Pick out your best dresses, collared shirts, and finest shoes because Homecoming is coming to Waterford High School on Oct 30, 2021. Held in the courtyard between the field house and main building, the dance will offer a DJ and a dance floor to show off all your best dance moves. Yard games like cornhole will be available to play if you do not like to dance. The dance will also dinner with a purchase of a ticket. Along with a purchase of a ticket, a free dessert bar will be provided.

This year no out-of-school guests are allowed to attend our dance to make sure there is room for every WHS student. When asked about out-of-town guests not attending Freshman Gabe Lombardi said, “I would’ve liked to bring guests, but I understand why we aren’t allowed to, I think everybody will still have a good time.”  With just this minor precaution WHS is ready to get back to Pre-Covid traditions.

Besides the Homecoming dance, there will be a spirit week with different themed days: including Monday as tropical day, Tuesday as decades, Wednesday as holidays, Thursday as class colors, and Friday as Lancer Nation Day. The Powderpuff Game, where the junior and senior girls compete in flag football will be the last block on Thursday, October 29. The school week will end with a pre-game pep rally. This being the first homecoming in two years, WHS is heading in the right direction to keep the school spirit alive, while also remaining COVID safe.
