Too Old to Trick or Treat?

Too Old to Trick or Treat?

Diana Rice, Reporter

The best thing about Halloween is the candy, of course, but the second best thing about Halloween is getting to dress up as whatever you can possibly imagine.

As students get older, they lose the want to go trick or treating. They would rather hang out with friends or not even go out at all. The question lingers as they get older. Are high school students too old to trick or treat? All ages have different opinions. I asked one student from every grade if they think they are too old to trick or treat.

Thomas Pitasi – freshman

Q: Do you think you are too old to trick or treat? If so, why?
A: No, I think it’s fun to walk around with my friends and get candy. We do it every year.

Q: Will you dress up for Halloween with your friends?

A: Yes, I most likely will have a mask or something.

Q: Will you go trick or treating this year?
A: Yes.

David DeWallace- sophomore

A:Nope, not too old.

A: Yes, I definitely will.

Sophie Joseph- junior

A: Yes.

Q:  Do you think kids your age should stop trick or treating?

A: No, if they want too, they should!

Caitlin Drouin-senior

Q:Do you think you are too old to trick or treat?

A:Yes.

Q: Do you think high schoolers should stop trick or treating?

A: No, it’s innocent fun.

The younger students think they are not too old to trick or treat, while the older students feel as if they are too old. Too old to trick or treat? It’s personal preference.
